Led International is an initiative to strengthen the relationship with the 30+ international churches belonging to Norwegian Pentecostal Movement. “God really was among us, spoke to us and immensely blessed us”, said Fred Håberg, International director of Norwegian Pentecostal Movement. He also referred to the strong message brought by Paul Orlenius from Pingst Integration in Sweden. – Paul really inspired the approximately fifty leaders to recognize that God has brought many 'Ruth' individuals to Norway, with the potential of writing a new salvation history – if Norwegian leaders meet them as Boaz met Ruth.
Jeevan Magar is the pastor of Oslo Nepali Church which was established in 2019 and became a part of Norwegian Pentecostal Movement in 2024. This was his second time at Led International, and he expressed that last year was good, but this year they went deeper.
– The interaction was nice, and all the migrant leaders spoke from their hearts without any fear or hesitation. Experiences of loneliness and struggles were shared, and there was also an atmosphere of reconciliation between the Norwegian church and the migrant churches.
– What does this fellowship mean to you?
– It is very good, and I think we need to meet at least twice a year to be able to build relationships. When we established Oslo Nepali Church in 2019, we felt lonely as Christians. But then we joined Led and experienced that we are not alone. It is good to be a part of a larger fellowship.
We need to meet more often over a cup of coffee, starting from today.
- Leader of Norwegian Pentecostal Movement, Øystein Gjerme
– What are your dreams for your congregation?
– By now we only have Nepali services, but our dream is to do multiethnic services in the future, Jeevan concluded.
