Building Bridges & Reaching the Unreached

Publisert: 25.02.2026
Over the past year, the Pentecostal Movement in Norway has strengthened its focus on migrant churches and multicultural ministry. At the center of this work is Jeevan Magar, who began serving as Migrant Church Coordinator on May 1, 2025.

For Jeevan, the role was both an opportunity and a challenge.

– From the beginning, I saw this role as a great opportunity. However, starting was not easy because I was unknown among the migrant churches and had to begin from scratch.

Much of the existing contact information was outdated. Emails and phone numbers no longer worked. So he started rebuilding the network step by step — through emails, text messages, phone calls, and careful research on social media and church websites.

– Within six months, I successfully established contact with almost 95% of migrant church leaders.

Traveling to Build Trust

Relationships cannot be built from a distance. Over his first eight months, Jeevan visited around 20 migrant churches across Norway.

He has met leaders in Trondheim, Ålesund, Hamar, Drammen, Stavanger, Fredrikstad, and the greater Oslo area.

The first meeting was often the hardest.

– Arranging the first meeting was often challenging because we were completely unfamiliar with each other. But once we met face-to-face, conversations went very well, and relationships quickly became stronger.

A Clear Purpose

Jeevan’s work focuses on four main areas:

  • Strengthening relationships between the Pentecostal Movement and migrant churches already connected to the movement
  • Helping churches access resources such as counseling, youth and children’s materials, pastor ID cards, and support in securing government membership grants
  • Building new relationships with migrant churches not yet affiliated
  • Fostering unity in mission between migrant and local churches

Since January 2026, national regulations require a minimum of 100 members for a church to receive government subsidies. Many migrant churches have fewer members than this, making guidance and support even more important.

Ultimately, the vision is clear: unity for mission — both nationally and internationally.

LED International Leadership Day – March 7, 2026

Building Bridges & Reaching the Unreached

This vision will be at the heart of LED International Leadership Day 2026 on March 7.

The theme is: Reaching Unreached People Groups in Norway.

– “I expect it to be not only meaningful for migrant church leaders but also a wake-up call for all leaders serving in multicultural church contexts.”

LED will be a day to renew vision, build relationships, and explore collaboration in mission work.

“It is an excellent opportunity to keep the vision of reaching unreached groups in mind through both word and action.”

Who should attend?

  • Migrant and diaspora church leaders
  • International pastors and ministry workers
  • Pentecostal leaders and emerging leaders
  • Anyone passionate about multicultural church ministry and reaching unreached people groups in Norway

Norway is changing. The nations are already here. LED International Leadership Day is an invitation to respond together.

Join us on March 7, 2026 — and be part of what God is doing among the nations in Norway.
